Product Introduction
The transfer sponge is used to support the protein transfer during Western blot experiments, ensuring a tight bond between the membrane and the gel so that the protein can be stably transferred to the membrane.
This product is a filter paper-free transfer sponge, eliminating the need for transfer filter paper in the traditional "sandwich structure," making the process convenient, fast, and efficient. The pre-cut size of this transfer sponge is 7×9 cm, with a thickness of approximately 5 mm.
Instructions for Use
Immerse the transfer sponge, gel, and transfer membrane (PVDF membrane should be activated with methanol first) in the transfer buffer and equilibrate at room temperature for approximately 2 minutes.
Assemble the transfer "sandwich structure": Taking the Seville Transfer Electrophoresis Instrument (STV-2) as an example, arrange the materials in the transfer clamp in the following order: positive electrode (+) (red) > transfer sponge > transfer membrane > gel > transfer sponge > negative electrode (-). Ensure that there are no bubbles between the gel and the transfer membrane.
Storage and Transportation
Store and transport at room temperature, protecting from moisture, with long-term stability.
Precautions
After the transfer is complete, rinse the transfer sponge thoroughly with pure water, dry it, and store it for future use.
The transfer sponge is a consumable item. If it becomes thinner or damaged after repeated use, please replace it with a new sponge promptly.
Wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
