Product Introduction
The transfer sponge is used for supporting the protein transfer in Western blot experiments, ensuring a tight bond between the membrane and gel, allowing proteins to be stably transferred onto the membrane.
This product is a filter-free membrane transfer sponge, eliminating the need for traditional "sandwich structure" membrane transfer filters, making it convenient, fast, and efficient. The pre-cut size of this transfer sponge is 82×110 mm, with a thickness of about 6.0 mm, which fits the Bio-Rad transfer system.
Instructions
The transfer sponge, gel, and PVDF membrane should be activated with methanol and immersed in transfer buffer for about 2 minutes at room temperature;
Assemble the "sandwich structure" of the transfer membrane: Place the materials in the transfer clip in the order of positive electrode + red > transfer membrane sponge > transfer film > gel > transfer membrane sponge > negative electrode, and then close the transfer clip. Pay attention to removing the air bubbles between the gel and the transfer film.
Storage and Transportation
It can be stored and transported at room temperature, preventing moisture and ensuring long-term effectiveness.
matters needing attention
1.After the transfer process, thoroughly rinse the transfer sponge with pure water and allow it to air dry before storing for future use.
The membrane transfer sponge is a consumable item, and if it becomes thinner or damaged after repeated use, please replace it with a new one in time.
Please wear lab coat and disposable gloves during the operation.
