Product Introduction

This product PVDF membrane is polyvinylidene fluoride membrane, which has high mechanical strength and is an ideal solid support for western blotting. PVDF membrane is hydrophobic, and the pore size of the membrane is large or small. The smaller the pore size of the membrane, the stronger the binding of proteins with low molecular weight. According to the pore size of the membrane, there are generally different specifications such as 0.1 μm, 0.22 μm, 0.45 μm and 1.0 μm. 0.45 μm pore size PVDF membrane is mainly used for Western blotting (>20 kDa protein), adsorption analysis, amino acid analysis, N-terminal protein sequencing, Dot/slot blots, lipopolysaccharide analysis.

This product has a 0.45 μm aperture, a cut size of 7 × 9 cm, and a pack of 10 sheets. Each membrane can be used for transfer of commonly used gel blocks.

Storage and Transportation

Transport at room temperature, keep dry and sealed to prevent moisture. long term effective.

Instructions for Use

1. A membrane with a pore size of 0.45 μm is recommended for proteins with a molecular weight greater than 20 kDa, and a 0.22 μm membrane for proteins with a molecular weight of less than 20 kDa.

2. The PVDF membrane needs to be pretreated with methanol before use to activate the positively charged groups on the membrane, making it easier to bind to negatively charged proteins.

Notice

1. The PVDF membrane is easy to dry and should be placed in TBST as soon as possible after transfer. If the membrane is too dry, it is recommended to reactivate it with methanol.

2. Please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
