HEPES Solution (1 M)

HEPES (N-2-hydroxyethylpiperazine-N-2-ethane sulfonic acid) is a commonly used amphoteric buffer reagent, the effective buffer range is pH 6.8-8.2. HEPES is able to constant the pH range of the solution for a longer period of time in an open environment, is non-permeable to cell membranes, has little effect on various biochemical reactions, is chemically and enzymatically stable, and has very low absorption of visible and ultraviolet light, making HEPES the preferred choice for many cell culture buffer systems.

This product is prepared with ultra-pure water with a concentration of 1 M and a pH of 7.0-7.5. After 0.22 μm filtration, it can be directly used for cell culture. The recommended working concentration in cell culture is 10-25 mM, adding proportionally as needed. For example, if the required working concentration is 10 mM, add 1 mL of this product to every 100 mL of medium.

Ship with wet ice; Store in the dark at 2-8℃; Store at -20℃ for long-term; Avoid repeated freeze-thaw. valid for 24 months.
