Product Description
DPBS (Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline) is a balanced salt solution used for a variety of cell culture applications, including washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissue, diluting cells for counting, and preparing reagents. DPBS is formulated without calcium and magnesium.
Servicebio balanced salt solutions are manufactured at a cGMP-compliant facility using water for injection, filtered through final 0.1 μm sterile filtration and aseptic filled in a Hundred-stage FFU. The filter integrity tests are performed before and after filtration. Each lot of DPBS solutions are subjected to sterility test, pH, osmolality and endotoxin.
Key Features & Advantages
Optimized Formulation: Formulated with 2.68 mM KCl, 1.47 mM KH₂PO₄, 137 mM NaCl, and 8.0 mM Na₂HPO₄, our DPBS Buffer maintains a pH of 7.0–7.3 at 25°C, mirroring physiological conditions to minimize cellular stress.
Sterility Assurance: Filtered through a 0.1 μm membrane, the solution is guaranteed sterile and free from endotoxins, enabling direct use in aseptic workflows without additional preparation.
Customizable Flexibility: Researchers can supplement the base formulation with glucose, pyruvate, or other nutrients to create tailored media for specialized cell types or long-term cultures.
Extended Shelf Life: Stable for 24 months when stored at room temperature, reducing waste and ensuring experimental consistency.
Functional Applications
Embryo/Tissue Handling: Acts as a gentle rinsing or storage solution for delicate samples during IVF procedures or organoid culture.
Cryopreservation: Serves as a foundational component in freezing media, protecting cells from osmotic shock during thawing.
Diluent for Reagents: Ideal for diluting antibodies, enzymes, or dyes without altering ionic strength.
Washing Step: Widely used in flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and molecular biology protocols to remove unbound reagents.
Why Choose Servicebio ?
Expertise: With 15+ years of experience in cell culture reagents, we specialize in formulations that meet the evolving needs of life science researchers.
Storage & Handling
Transport: Shipped at ambient temperature to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life: 24 months from date of manufacture when stored in original packaging.
Safety Precautions
Always wear gloves and lab coats during handling to prevent microbial contamination.
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; aliquot if using partial volumes.
Discard immediately if discoloration or particulate matter is observed.
